What age is The Humble Leaf designed for?
The Humble Leaf is designed for children aged 3+. The invitations are intentionally open-ended, so they can unfold very differently depending on a child’s age, interests and imagination.
Do I need to buy lots of materials?
No. The Humble Leaf begins with what you already have. Most invitations use leaves alongside simple art materials and everyday items you’re likely to have at home. Part of the magic is discovering just how much can come from very little.
Do I need to be creative to do this with my child?
Not at all. We’ve created the starting point for you. The Grown-Up Guide offers simple guidance, while the invitations give children plenty of room to take the experience in their own direction.
How long does each invitation take?
There’s no set time. An invitation might hold a child’s attention for twenty minutes or become something they return to over several days. The idea is to follow their curiosity rather than work towards a finished result.
Can we use the invitations more than once?
Absolutely. The invitation cards are designed to be returned to again and again. Different leaves, materials, places and ideas can lead to completely different creations each time.
Does everything I need come in the collection?
The collection includes five invitation cards, a Grown-Up Guide and a reusable keepsake bag for collecting treasures and keeping your collection together. You’ll gather the leaves and simple materials used for each invitation yourself — because noticing and collecting what’s already around you is part of the experience.
