Made The Wonder Way

The Wonder Table isn't only about what we create.
It's about how we create it.

We look for what already exists.

We forage for nature’s treasures, rummage through recycling, wander through op shops and search second-hand markets and reuse centres before buying something new. We spend time looking, imagining and repurposing — because purchasing new is our last resort.

We believe less can become more.

A cardboard box. A recycled bottle. A scrap of fabric. A fallen leaf. Some of our most wonderfully ordinary materials weren’t made to be creative materials at all — until someone imagined otherwise.

We use things again — and again.

Materials, props and handmade pieces move between workshops, collections and ideas. Very little has only one life here. We reuse, repurpose and reimagine what we already have before looking for something more.

We begin. You decide what comes next.

We create invitations, not instructions. A Wonder idea might begin with us, but what it becomes belongs to the person holding it. Our collections, workshops and materials are designed to be interpreted, adapted, reused and taken somewhere we may never have imagined.

We make by hand.

So much of The Wonder Table is designed, assembled and made by hand — from workshop installations and Wonder Walls to passports, props and tiny details. Along the way, we’ve also found local artists, each one unintentionally, much like The Wonder Table itself. Their hands and ideas are woven into what we create, keeping creativity, collaboration and craftsmanship close to home.

We create with intention.

Not more for the sake of more. Not perfect for the sake of perfect. Just thoughtful things made slowly, curiously and with care.
